What it knows about a list
It adds across units
Two tablespoons of soy sauce in one recipe and 15 ml in another are one line of 45 ml. Weights add up in grams, and a spoon of honey joins grams of honey, because it knows what honey weighs.
It reads past the wording
"2 large ripe tomatoes, diced" and "3 tomatoes" are five tomatoes. How something is cut is not a different thing to buy.
It keeps apart what it cannot add
Two onions and 100 g of onion stay two lines. It will not guess what your onions weigh.
A red onion is not an onion
Colour and cut stay in the name, because a shop sells red onions and ground beef as their own things.
Questions
- Can I tick things off?
- Not here. Copy the list into your notes. In Panwich the shopping list has tick boxes that work with no signal, and it can be shared with another person.
- What order is the list in?
- The order the ingredients first appear in. It is not sorted by aisle.
- How many recipes can I add?
- Six. In Panwich the list is built from the recipes you saved, or from a week you planned, with no pasting.
- Is what I paste kept anywhere?
- No. The tool works in your browser. What you paste is not sent to Panwich or to anyone else.
