What it does with a caption
Copies the amounts, changes none
Each ingredient keeps the amount and the unit the creator wrote. Nothing is converted or rounded here, so the list can be checked against the caption line by line.
Finds the dish under the hook
Captions open with a line to stop your thumb and name the dish under it. The tool takes the name, and reads the servings, the times and the macros when the caption states them. It estimates nothing.
Leaves out what is not recipe
Hashtags, credits, "save this for later" and "follow for more" are not steps, and are not listed as steps.
Follows rules, and stops where they stop
This tool asks no AI. A caption written as one unbroken paragraph, with no list in it, may come back empty. Signed in, Panwich has more ways to read a caption like that, and reads screenshots too.
Questions
- Does it work with TikTok captions?
- Yes. It reads any text that has an ingredient list in it: an Instagram caption, a TikTok caption, or a recipe copied from a message.
- Why is there no method in my result?
- Many captions list the ingredients and leave the method to the video. The tool shows what the caption has, and says when the method is missing.
- Does it use AI?
- No. It runs the same rules Panwich runs first on every recipe it imports, which copy amounts exactly as written.
- What does "Save it to Panwich" do?
- It takes the caption to Panwich, where you make a free account and the recipe opens in the editor, ready to save. That button is the only thing here that sends the caption anywhere.
- Is what I paste kept anywhere?
- No. The tool works in your browser. What you paste is not sent to Panwich or to anyone else.
